Window Blinds
Window blinds are different from window shades in that blinds are typically made from hard materials such as wood, metal or vinyl and have slats or louvers. Window blinds are often used in hot climates to filter out strong light and allow air circulation. Kitchen windows are also good places to use blinds. Mini blinds are good for smaller windows and are easy to clean. Nice curtains may not work for kitchens that are used frequently. Therefore, blinds are better since they are easy to clean. To clean off blinds, just close them and wipe them off.

Blinds also allow you to vary the amount of light and privacy to a higher degree than curtains that you either open or close. If you need this particular light varying functionality then blinds may be your answer. Next, you want to look at the material for the blinds. You may want to match that with the rest of your room. Wood gives a natural look while
metal works well for a modern look.
